Lilly Ebstein

Lilly Ebstein Lowenstein (1897-1966) built her life story between science and art. She executed works of scientific illustrations and photomicrographies as an employee and head of the Illustration and Photography Department at the School of Medicine (incorporated to the University of São Paulo - USP – in 1934) from 1926 to 1956 and as a collaborator at Instituto Biológico in the 1930s. This site presents stories of the institutions where she studied and worked; people she knew and a catalogue of her illustrations and photomicrographies.
